Show Milk Payments New Program Ready To Begin Operation The Cache county AAA office is ready to make payments to dairy producers under the new "dairy feed payment" program announced by the War Food administration ad-ministration to offset rising feed costs, Alphonse Christensen, chairman chair-man of the county committee, announced an-nounced today. All necessary materials for making mak-ing the payments were received early this week. Procedure -for making the payments is extremely extreme-ly simple. However, producers will need to take evidence of their October sales of whole milk, butterfat, cream or butter to Iheir county AAA office and file application not later than November No-vember 30, if they expect to receive re-ceive payment, the committee said. Payments are made with sight drafts drawn upon the commodity credit corporation and payable at any local blank. Payments are made at the ate of 33 cents a hundredweight for whole milk, 4 cents a pound for butterfat and a proportionate percentage of the butterfat' for butter and cream, AAA officials said. Direct payments to producers pro-ducers to offset increased' feed costs have been authorized by the war food administration in preference prefer-ence to allowing retail prices for dairy products to increase, so the full benefit of the payment will be realized by the producers. |
