Show .,- FEMININE FANCIES. Convkvikxt sponge hairs of gray linen are embroidered with sprays of pink seaweed, purple violets, buttercups or other blossoms. Among the pretty and useful house dresses for this season are tho6e made of white French flannel. They are made with a long skirt, a long fitted basque and full sleeves and are trimmed with mchings and plaitings of pale-tinted pale-tinted silk. A violet girl was a pretty sight in a ballroom the other evening. Her white silk gown had sleeves of violet velvet, with the upper part of the corsage composed com-posed entirely of violets so cunningly scented with the veritable violet odor that the illusion was very effective. Almost as much attention is nowadays nowa-days given to underwear as to outside garments; indeed, there are ladies who make a boast that the very finest materials ma-terials in their entire wardrobe are put into their undergarments. There is a suggestion of aesthetic daintiness in this idea that has its pleasant side. |
