| Show it MORGAN HIGH NEWS by connie adams va 13 Y high school assembly 14 tb the brigham young high school band came to our school thursday to present a concert tor for the student body and faculty after they finished playing tor for us our band played a short concert tor for them following this after school our orchestra played and the two bands held a phrot dance then light refreshments were served this worked out very well because their band Is nearly all boys and ours consists mainly of girls I 1 think that the visiting band enjoyed their trip very much and I 1 know that our band was well pleased with the way it turned out surprise everyone surely received a surprise monday morning darlene sherwood came to class sporting a large diamond it Is really a beautiful thing the lucky boy Is clair smith of ogden dont get married until after graduation darlene you much longer to go big success the chorus presented their program in salt lake city yesterday the building was packed with people we received a great many compliments on the wonderful wonder ful performance for mance of our group I 1 truly think that all the people enjoyed our presentation very much sophomore party tha ile sophomore lass class held their yearly party manday allanday night they enjoyed games a program and somo some dancing the event evening ng was climaxed with a potluck pot luck lunch 0 0 new fads white sleeveless sweaters are really a hit bit with ill all the girls lately they really look nice in them nearly all of the girls have one quilted skirts have also made a big hit bit here at school almost all of the skirts are light colors and will be hard to keep celan nevertheless th eless they look nice on the girls 0 girls league something new has been added to our school this year after echroll achoo one night a few of the girls began talking about having a girls league la in our school they wrote to the different schools to find out what their girls leagues consist of they then wrote a constitution land presented it to the faculty the faculty approved it last thursday we held our election and chose our officers they ere chosen by the popular vote 0 o f the girls they are jane mei mci kinnon president nancy feaman vice president la ray hay smith secretary and sheron heiner elner II historian ian there was also a council member chosen from each grade this is an organization to promote greater interest and sportsmanship among the girls I 1 think it Js Is going to prove to be a great success in our school |
