| Show old records to be preserved on microfilm IM microfilming Micro filming of morgan countes coun tys handwritten hand records was started last week as a means of preserving these important documents which date back to as tar far as jan 17 1862 work is being done by harold E Noff and barton J howell of the universal microfilming Micro filming corp of salt lake city records are being photographed and will be preserved on foot rolls and the master negatives stored in salt lake city positive records will remain here at the court house approximately 1500 pages of records are being filmed at the present time which will makei makel about feet of film this process of duplicating records makes it possible to preserve them toe for at least years morgan county commissioners have appropriated 1500 tor for the first phase of this work the hand 1 written and to corn com I 1 the entire project it will require another 1500 to have all past records microfilmed j it is expected that the present project will take about two weeks j of working time |
