Show Chips and Shavings From Lark The many friends of Sime Peterson, Pe-terson, who had the misfortune to break his leg on July 23rd, has been compelled to once more resort to the confines of an hospital hos-pital on account of complications which have set in. Mr. Peterson is now at the L. D. S. Hospital at Salt Lake City undergoing an investigation of his old, injury. Mr. and Mrs. J. Pomin of San Francisco, California have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kuphadt of the Ranch the past week. Mr. Pomin is the manufacturer manu-facturer and owner of the "Ivy" corset for ladies, and has a number num-ber of wholesale stores dotted over the Pacific cities viz: San Francisco, Los Anegeles, San Diego, Pasadena j and ether) towns. Miss Stella Kuphaldt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Kuphaldt U tmanaging jjrne of Mr. Pomin's largest stores. Miss May Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anderson Ander-son of Riverton is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. John Prouse of Butterfield this week. Our local radiaphone experts, Elbert White and Ernest Arnold have their radio sets in operation and are picking up "K. Z. N." the "Deseret News" program nightly. We extend a cordial welcome to Mr. and Mrs. Fred P. Turner of Bingham who decided after to make their future home in our little community. Mr. Turner Turn-er is holding a position with the Ohio Copper Co. on their precipitating pre-cipitating project here. Mrs. Turner was formerly Miss Gertrude Ger-trude Gerrans and the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gerrans of Markham Gulch and Mr. Turner is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Turner of Cop-perfield. Cop-perfield. May they succeed. W. R. Stephens, principal of the Lark School with Larks only school ma'am, Miss Belle What-cot, What-cot, attended the Utah Educational Educa-tional Convention at Salt Lake City on Thursday and Friday last. Mr. and Mrs. Dell Nell and little lit-tle son, Kenneth motored to Riverton Riv-erton on Sunday and were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Battison. . . Mr. and Mrs. Pat Savage were Salt Lake visitors Saturday. Mrs. Effie Maxium of Idaho has returned home after visiting visit-ing for several weeks with her sistre, Miss W. Turpin. Mesdames Hemmingsen, Moore and Herringer motored to Bingham on Thursday evening. Mrs. G. Lambson, of Bingham, entertained at a luncheon Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon. The guests fwere: Mary La Von, Magie and 'Vera Nordberg. The host was assisted by her mother, Mrs. Holden. Miss Emma Sandstrom and Stella Myerhoffer who are both attending the L. D. S. Schools, were Lark visitors during , the week end. |
