Show NOTICE 10 11 ITER USERS state of utah office of state engin eer salt lake city notice is hereby given that edwin G kidder 9 6 2 east let lat south street salt lake city utah has made ap in accordance with the laws of utah to appropriate 10 sec see ft it of water from springs and streams tributary to weeks canyon in millard county utah said water will be diverted from january I 1 to december 31 inclusive of each year from sources in quantities and at points as follows each point Is lo 10 bated from the point at which the I 1 ead of the natural channel of weeks canyon intersects a tite dike extending across the north or lower side of amassa valley which is upon land which it surveyed would be in sees 35 and 36 T 18 S R 14 W sees 1 2 and 12 T 19 S R 14 W and sec see 6 T 19 S R 13 W SUB am a cold spring 3 sec see ft it N 20 deg E ft b mud spring canyon 6 sec see ft S 60 deg W ft and c last chance spring 1 sec see ft it S 25 deg W ft said 6 sec see it ft of water from mud spring canyon will be stored when able from january 1 to december 31 inclusive of each year by means of a dam 20 ft high constructed across the stream at point 0 of diver sion b hereinbefore described said stored water together with any of said 6 sec see ft of water which flows through the reservoir without stor age will be conveyed by ditches and pipe lines to mining claims in amas sa valley where it will be used for placer mining milling and andt the hegener gener atlon of electrical energy said 1 sec see ft of water from last chance spring will likewise be diverted but without storage and used for the same pur pose A total of 6 sec see it ft of water from mud spring canyon and last chance spring will be used tor for pow er purposes after which it will be returned to weeks canyon at a point N 20 deg E ft from the inter section of the quartzite dike and the head of weeks canyon hereinbefore described said 3 sec see ft of water from cold spring will be pumped from the spring conveyed by pipe lines and used tor for mining and mill ing operations in amassa valley |
