Show CHARLES ASHMAN DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS charles nye ashman born april 2 1880 at Duc buckwater duckwater kwater nevada and died may 6 5 1929 at his home in fillmore Fill moro mr ashman had been in ill health for or the past two or three years and had been confined to his bed jor tor several months prior to his death ambitious and of 0 a cheerful disposition he was always up working just as soon as he recovered from one of his illnesses mr ashman was one of a large family live five brothers and sisters having preceded him to the grave two slaters and two brothers survive him ile he was married in 1903 to fanny dearden and lived tor for a few years at baker nevada for the past 18 years however mr air and mrs ashman have made their home in fillmore seven children have como come to bless their home and they are indeed a family to be proud of mr air ashman has been a good father and husband in every sense of the word the home over which he fie and mrs airs ashman have presided has always bone bene a happy one the children have been reared with respect tor for their parents and with those fiah biah attributes that only wholesome family life can bestow bealow the children have been students of exceptional ability in a scholastic way and their efforts along these lines have been been constantly encouraged at home mr and mrs airs ashman were proud of their children as well they might bo be and they will be a source of consolation to their mother now that this good man has passed beyond this life their home will never be the same tor for there la Is a vacancy there that cannot be filled but the children will continue to build their lives under the guidance of their good mother after the manner in which they have so well begun funeral services were held tuesday at 2 P al in the first ward chapel the speakers were james A kelly don C wixom parker robison and bishop farnsworth they emphasized the he good and useful life led by mr air ashman and referred to his great work in rearing such a splendid family saying that lie he and mrs ashman had always done the very best they could tor for the welfare of their children the musical numbers were as follows 1 I need thee every hour by the choir a solo face to face by edward nelson duet whispering hope by T leo jacobs and daughter delsa chorus speak to me father mrs airs stella day and co duet lay my aly head beneath the rose blonda wixom and delia peterson the services were opened with prayer by frank 11 partridge and the Vene benediction diction was offered by pres T dark clark callister Cal llster the floral offering was indeed beautiful many large pieces completely covering the casket mr air ashman is survived by his widow mrs airs fanny D ashman and the following children charles harold everett moyle albert earl dale luclle lucile merlin and elvin and also by two brothers A J ashman and clifford ashman and two si sl mrs nellie melville and mrs airs rhoda melville |
