Show AUTO ACCIDENT Price, Oct. 11 Pinned beneath an overturned car in a six-foot wash, Mrs. Elsie Shipp Huntsman, a school teacher at Clark'si valley, was drowned drown-ed here late this afternoon. Mrs. Huntsman was driving fronj Clark's valley to Price, In company with Mrs. Ern Babcock in a Ford delivery de-livery truck. Mrs. Babcock was ct tnu wheel. The car was running down a steep grade on the road when Mrs. Babcock attempted to turn out for a six-foot wash. The car struck the stone edge of the road and overturned overturn-ed into the wash. Both women lere caught in the car, but Mrs. Babcock managed to extricate herself. She then worked feverishly to release Mrs. Huntsman, but waa unsuccesa ful. She then went to Sunnyside for help and returned with Verne Henry and Levi Nielson, who recovered th i body. Mrs. Huntsman had been dond approximately an hour when her body wais taken from the car. Surviving her are her children, Conrad. 5 and Selton, 7; her mother, .Mrs. Jannet Shipp, of Beaver; one sister,. Mrs. Mile Morrln, of Baker, Ore., and four brothers, John S. Shipp, of Provo, Frank Shipp and Otto Shipp, both of California, ana I Ernest Shipp, also of Beaver. The body was sent from Price to Beaver, where it will be buried October 13. Ernest Shipp went to Price and accompanied his sister's body bacli to Beaver. I Funeral services were held Tuon- day from the East Ward chapel. |
