Show FUNERAL SERVICES OF j JOHN HORTON", GREENVILLE' I Impressive funeral services frr the! late John Horton, of Greenville, were held at the Greenville chiirch at 10 i o'clock, Friday afternoon cf last j week. A large crowu of people and many from neighboring towns g; tLered to pay their respects to a man who was held In very high esteem and had a great deal of influence in the community com-munity in which he lived. The services were under the direction di-rection of G. J. Williams. Opening prayer was offered by Elder El-der John Williams. Song by male quartet from Beaver, composed of George and Chase Mur-dock, Mur-dock, Elder C. C. Cornwall and Gus Fernley. Solo "Oh My Father." by C. C. Cornwall. The speakers were J. F. McGregor and J. F. Tolton, who paid tribute to the deceased and spoke words of comfort to the bereaved ones. ! Solo "Face to Face" Gus Fernley Resolutions of respect from the high council were read by Sam O. White Jr. Song quartet. Benediction Bishop C. D. White of the Beaver East ward. . Many beautiful floral offerings covered the casket, which was .followed .fol-lowed by a large cortege to the Greenville Green-ville cemetery. The deceased was born and reared in Greenville and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Horton. His death was due to a stroke of paralysis and heart trouble. ' He is survived by his wife, Harriet Hes-lington Hes-lington Horton and seven children. |
