Show Boulder Dam Fight Renewed Washington Action at this session on the Swing-Johnson Boulder canyon dam bill was demanded on the house floor by two representatives, whilo other friends of the measure initiated a new move to have the rules committee commit-tee grant it the legislative right of way. Representatives Winter, Republican, Repub-lican, Wyoming, and Lea, Democrat, California, declared construction of a dam at Boulder canyon on the Colorado Colo-rado river should not be delayed. At the same time Chairman Smith of the irrigation committee, which reported the bill, announced privately that he had undei taken a personal solicitation of rules committee members to obtain ob-tain preferred statuts for the measure. |
