Mrs. Edward Clinton Murray of Houston is president of the department depart-ment of Texas, and Is also one of the national vice presidents of the American Ameri-can Legion Auxiliary. She was one of the first organizers of the auxiliary In Texas and was elected to the state presidency when the organization was formed In San Antonio In December, 1920. Under her direction many units have been formed and It Is her purpose pur-pose at present to establish a unit for each of the 291 Legion posts In Texas. Two of her policies are justice for disabled dis-abled soldiers and discouragement of memorials which are not of some living liv-ing good to the men. The department of Texas was first to contribute to the national hospital fund. |
