Mr. George Jefferson, Mr. Sam Ciine and Mr. Gray were the ones present. CANDY P.ARTY Miss Alice Ward entertained a merry crowd of younb people at her home Wednesday evening eve-ning with a candy party. The guests, were: Delia Kirk, Reva Lynn, Valna Hickman, Leah Smith. Alice Schow, Roldo Turner, Dwight Lynn, Alruy Hollis and Leroy Carlson. REREKAH S ENTERTAIN The Rebekah lodge entertained Wednesday Wednes-day night for their state o cers. Mrs. Delia Edwards of Ophir, president presi-dent of the Rebekah State assembly, and also the vice president, Mrs. Brown of Ogden. Mrs. Chas. Newhart and Mrs. M. Pool. j DINNER AT HOTEL ATKIN" Mrs. Clark Kesler gave a sevett : o'clock dinner last Friday at the At- j kin hotel, followed by a card party! at her home. The guests were members mem-bers of the Mali Jongg club and a few j others. Mrs. Sloan won the pri&e for high score among the guests, anu Mrs. Kinney the club prize for high score. Those present were: Mrs. Farmer, Far-mer, Mrs. Fernley. Mrs. Newhart, Mrs. Kinney. Mrs. Parrish, Mrs. Markham, Mrs. Sloan, Mrs. Murdock, Mrs. Kirk, Mrs. Pool, Mrs. Theissen. DESPAIR BARREL CLUB A new sewing club has been organized and held its first meeting, last Friday Fri-day night at the home of Miss Alice Ward. The girls spent a very pleasant pleas-ant evening in sewing for their hope chests. A dainty lunch was served d j the hostess, assisted by her aunt, Mrs Harriet McGoogan. and also by Roldo Rol-do Turner. After lunch the club dues wp.rp collected and the young folks adjourned to the merry-go-round. BIRTHDAY PARTY Mrs. W. W. Markham gave a very pretty little narty Monday afternoon, in honor ot her son, Billy's fifth birthday. Hallowe'en Hal-lowe'en decorations were used extensively exten-sively and a very jolly time enjoyed by the honor guest and Gordon Murdock, Mur-dock, Marie Carlson, David Lewis and Barbara Parrish. " SATURDAY BRIDGE CLUB Mi,, 0. C. Sloan entertained the Saturday Bridge club at her home last Satur-wre Satur-wre used for table and tally cards and a harvest lunch served Mrs. Bellingmo Bel-lingmo won club prize for high score at bridge; Mrs. Sloan received the hostess prize. Mrs. Clark Kesler and Mrs. Markham were special guesis, and the club members present were: Mrs. Harris, Mrs. Parrish, Mrs. Morley, Mor-ley, Mrs. Moore, Mrs. Bellingmo, Mrs Fernley and the hostess. - SEVENTH GRADE PARTY The Seventh grade had their first clasd party, Tuesday night. The evening was spent in playing games and danc Ing. Miss Frances Sloan and Miss Fern Hickman furnished the muslo. The honored guests were the 8th grade and the supervisors, were: Mr. Heaton. Mr. Heslington, Mr. Cottrell and Miss Johnson. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served to about sixty guests at eleven o'clock. S. B. A. PARTY" The members c. the S. B. A. gave a sheet and pillow case party in the I. O. O. F. hall on Thursday night. The hall was decorated decor-ated with jack o'lanterns and fortunes were told by Mrs1. Markham. Dancing was the evening's pastime, the prize waltz being won by Mrs. Pearl Anderson and Miss Isma Rudert. Rud-ert. Chilli, squash pie and coffee were served by the committee: Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Fotheringham. Mrs 'Erma Gillies. Miss Lyman and Vivian Viv-ian Waddoups. .TOLLY STITCHERS The Jolly Stitchers spent a plea.sant afternoon Thursday at the home of Mrs. Dave Tanner. Plans were made during the afternoon for a Hallowe'en party which the club will give. Mrs. Stoker was an invited guest of the club with the following members present: Mrs. K. Levi. Mrs. F. Levi. Mrs. Eh. Tanner. Tan-ner. Mrs. J. Lang. Mrs. R. Quayle, Mrs. E. H. Bird, Mrs. A. Johnson, Mrs. Wm. Fernley, Mrs. Wm. Miller. Mrs. Scott Tanner. THE DOUBLE FOUR BRIDGE CLUB NIEET Mrs. Chas. Tullis entertained the Double Four Bridge club at her home last Friday evening First prize was awarded Mrs. George Rogers; second Mr. Vernon John son. After a delicious two-course lunch was served, Mrs. Johnson ren- ; dered piano selections, which were j enjoyed by all. Each member read I some leading topic of the day. Pei- manent plans were arranged for. the three-course dinner the ladies are giving for their husbands, October 29, at the home of Mrs. Bellingmo. After the dinner, the evening will be spent with cards and hallowe ei stunts. The following club members were present: Mesdames Merrill Miller, Mil-ler, Vernon Johnson, Leo- Sheehan, Rolph Bellingmo, Myron Lewis, Harry Har-ry Yeager, Grover Cuddy, George Rodgers and the hostess. |
