Show POPULAR SPORT Bathing and swimming are the most popular of all sports on hot summer days, and the . town, which boasts a clean, safe place for this purpose, is safeguarding the health of its inhabitants, as well as furnishing furnish-ing a place of amusement. The new pools at the playground have added much to the popularity of the place and must have added much to the peace of mind of Mil-ford Mil-ford parents. Boys will swim, if there is water enough anywhere. For years, the only "water enough'" has been the Beaver river, and what boy does not know the disappointment of a dive down near the bridge? The dirty, oily surface of the water has furnished many of them with a coat not easily removed. The clean pools have eliminated the necessity of going to1 the river, and have also provided a place for the small children to enjoy the water in safety. The provision of a place to swim is certainly a step forward for Mil-ford. |
