Show SIGN AND LIGHT RATE TALKED AT LUNCHEON About twenty men gathered around a table at the Atkin hotel last Thursday and discussed the sign question for Garrison-Ely road. It was agreed that Harry Ward should make all necessary arrangements arrange-ments and put up the sign at Ely. C. C. Sloan brought up the question ques-tion of the proposed raise in light and power rates and after considerable consider-able discussion, a committee was appointed ap-pointed to wait on the town board and ask their aid in fighting the raise. The question and arguments are to be up before the utilities com- mission at a meeting to be held here Tuesday, July 12. Sam Cline presided and Jo. Kinney Kin-ney will be chairman tomorrow at the lunch to be given at the Milford hotel. Remember the hour is 12:10 and don't be late. The principal subject will be, "Shall Our High School be Discontinued Discon-tinued for Lack of Students, or Shall the Price of Lead be Increased." : a |
