Show LOCALS and PERSONALS Sunday evening the services at the L. D. S. church were in commemoration commemora-tion of the pne-hundredth anniversary when the. Angel Moroni delivered the Golden Plates to the Prophet Joseph Smith, from which the Book of Mormon Mor-mon was translated. . Songs "We Thank Thee, Oh Father, for -a Prophet" Pro-phet" and "Joseph Smith's First Prayer" were -sung by the -congregation. Opening prayer by Wm. Bohn of Reed. Vocal olo, Miss Hickman. Talk by ' W. A Miller. Instrumental I solo, Miss Jensen. Miss Cecil Tebbs, a returned missionary, gave a splendid splen-did talk and explained in detail the finding of the Golden Plates.. The closing prayer was made by j Leonard Bowen. A large crowd attended at-tended the services. I Mrs. Erith Fields of Jerome, Ariz., was the guest . of her aunt, Mrs. A. j. Atkin, this week. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Nelson and family of Glendale, Calif., were here Monday and Tuesday. F. M. -Casey and-Frank Johnson of Los Angeles, were here this week. J. S. Murdock and Ralph Myers were over from Minersville Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. J. Dinwiddie of Cali-ente, Cali-ente, was with us this past week. |
