Show The Utah State Conference of Social Work and Regional conference of American Red Cross will be held at the Newhouse Hotel at Salt Lake City, October 4-5. A splendid program pro-gram has been prepared for both days. The speakers will be prominent promin-ent people from different parts of the state, including Governor Geo. H. Dern. Luncheon at 12:15 p. m. each day. Mrs W. G. White is leaving soon to visit her mother, Mrs. Jacob Larmee at Dexter, Michigan. D. C. Marion of Las Vegas, spent most of the week in Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Joseph of Beaver, are announcing the birth of a son. Mrs. Joseph was formerly Miss Kate Robinson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Robinson and he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Joseph. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Carlson who have been here for several weeks visiing their sister-in-law, Mrs. Selma Carlson and family, left Tuesday for their home at New London, Ct. They were accompanied as far as Salt Lake by Mrs. Carlson and daughter Marie, who will spend a few days visiting friends. They will also spend a few days in Denver, Colo., on their way east Mrs. C. R. Parrish and children left j Sunday to spend the winter in Cal. She was accompanied by Miss Elma Bird, daughter of Bishop and Mrs. E. H. Bird, who will help care for the children. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Murphey are very happy over the arrival of their first baby. A fine 9 pound boy, born Sunday, September 25. Mother and child doing fine. |
