Ernst went, to Caliente Wednesday morning to enstall the newly elected officers of Caliente Re-bekah Re-bekah lodge. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Litchfield are remodeling their home into a modern bungalow. John Grimshaw of Beaver Bea-ver is doing the work. ' N. B. Neilsen and Timothy Brownhill of Beaver, were in town Wednesday on business and attended the Commercial Men's1 dinner at the Hotel Atkin. Miss Hortense Hardy left Sunday for a two weeks' vacotion with relatives rela-tives in Tooele. Miss Mercy Orwin is taking her place at the Telluride Power office'. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Steenboch and son Glenn, spent Monday afternoon and evening fishing at the Little Reservoir Res-ervoir in Beaver mountains. They were accompanied by H. Kuchenmei-ster Kuchenmei-ster and Geo. Deardon. Mrs. George Jefferson. Mrs.1 Jack Smithson. Mrs. Muldoon and Miss Catherine Smithson, motored over, to Beaver Monday and spent the day with Mrs. Smithson's mother, and daughter. Mrs. Ellen Huntington, and Mrs. Ralph Pitchforth. Mrs. Wm. Ernst returned on Thursday of last week, from Pocatel-lo, Pocatel-lo, where she has heen spending a week with her sister, Mrs. Charles AVolf and Mrs. J. L. Navi'n, of Detroit, De-troit, Michigan. Mrs. Ed. Peterson andl children left Monday to visit her mother, Mrs Anna Whitney. Mrs. Geo. Litchfield will have charge of the Peterson rooming house during Mrs. Peter son's absence. Scot Tanner returned Saturday from Beaver mountains, where he has been working the past two months mon-ths at the Oakden sawmill. The members of the Relief society met at the home of Mrs. C. C. Mur-dock, Mur-dock, Tuesday, August 8, it being Mrs. Murdock's 66th birthday. Avery pleasant afternoon was spent in doing do-ing hand work. Dainty refreshments were served. When! Oh! When will the floor in the post office be fixed? It is positively posi-tively a disgrace to the town. Miss Mercy Orwin returned Wednesday, Wed-nesday, of last week, from a ten day trip to Salt Lake City. She was accompanied ac-companied by her cousin, Jay Tay-' Tay-' lor, of Provo, who will spend a few-weeks few-weeks here with his cousin, Jim Orwin. Or-win. - |
