Show VISITORS HERE FOR NOON-DAY LUNCHEON WED. The usual crowd of Milford business busi-ness men gathered around the tables at the Atkin Hotel Wednesday noon. There were also Messrs Brownhili, Neilsen and McGregor, ot Beaver present. . R. D. Zook acted as chairman. He stated that the visitors were present to explain the proposed marketing scheme which was being worked up for the benefit of the growers or Southwestern Utah. Mr. Brownhili was introduced as the main expiainor, and he proceeded to show the need of, and the object of such an organization. A rew nionths ago, Mr. Brownhili said, "the Beaver Chamber of Commerce and the Farm Bureau inaugurated a movement for lower freight rates for dairy products, poultry and dressed veal and mutton." "The railroad! had responded by making a rale of $1 per hundred in carload lots to Los Angeles, from Delta Del-ta and Milford. This rate was far better than the committee had hoped hop-ed for and now it was up to the producers pro-ducers to get the produce to fill the cars, at least one car a week. "After canvassing Beaver county it was found that there was not enough en-ough to begin to fill the required space so a committee was sen: lo Parowan to ask the assistance of the growers there. "The result of this, was, that it was agreed to form a marketing association as-sociation for the purpose of Handling Hand-ling the business for Iron, Washington. Washing-ton. Beaver and Millard counties. For this purpose, business men and farmers in the four counties are invited (o gather at Parowan. Mon day, August 21, at 10:30 to form such an organization. "Everyone who can go is urged to bo there and halp the matter along us I consider it the most Important hing that has been presented to the producers of this section of the coun ty." Mr. Neilsen was the next speaker. He endorsed everything Mr. Brownhili Brown-hili had said, and further said: "In order to make the association a success, a warehouse, large enough to hold fifteen to twenty car loads, Willi a refrigeration plant , would be heeded at Milford to take core of the produce as it tame in, so that when orders e-me, the produce would be ready for shipment."
