Show LOCAL AXD PERSONAL S Deloy White has been in Beaver visiting his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John White. Mrs. Lou Williams attended the baseball game at Beaver last Thursday. Thurs-day. A splendid dance was given at the Beaver opera house in the evening and at midnight a delicious supper was served. v Dainty invitations are out for an Easter party to be given by Miss Helen Hel-en Ruth Ward, at her home Saturday evening, March 2 6. Mr. and Mrs. B. G. Clay and Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Clay, of Garrison, are spending a few days visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Clay. Mrs. Margaret Griffiths who has been visiting her niece, Mrs. Thomas Martin, the last few weeks, returned to her home in Beaver last week. It makes one shiver to think what might have happened last Monday, if that fire had got a better start. Milford needs a fire company Experiments have proved that various tree-like plants, bamboo and shrubby grasses, can be made into paper. ' E. L. Clifford, of Bono. Nevada, has come here to make bis home. Mr. j Clifford was five years with the Or-J Or-J pheum circuit. He has fitted up a j shop for auto and sign painting. Mrs. D. L. Davis and children, who have been visiting her parents. Mr. and Mrs. John El'ison. for a couple of months, returned to their home at Dividend Monday. Misses Ardsth Johnson and Tdona White went to Beaver Thursday afternoon af-ternoon of last week to attend the baseball game. They were the guests of Miss Vera White. Miss Charlotte Lynch, who is attending at-tending school at Salt Lake City, spent, the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lyiifh. I Bids for the construction of a sewer will be received by the Town board tomorrow night, and if a satisfactory satis-factory bid is received the contract will be let. Mr. Tucker. National Hnrclwoo'l inspector of Chicago, was here last Thursday and in Beaver Friday, inspecting in-specting the hardwood floors in the school houses. Many of the houses on company row are being thoroughly overhauled and repaired. Bath rooms nre being added to many and otlmr improvements improve-ments are contemplated. The baseball game played at Beaver Bea-ver Thursday of last wek, was well attended by Milford people. The game was a, very interesting one. The score was 12 to 2 in favor of Milford. Monday, what came near to being a disastrous fire got a good start in some rubbish, back of the L. D. S. church, but it was discovered in time so' that but little damage was done. No one seems to be able to tell how j the fire started. Milford needs fire ap paratus and a fire company. Miss Hines. the young lady who met with an auto accident, was in Milford Tuesday morning en route to Beaver. Miss Hines was just released releas-ed from the Holy Cross hospital and ! says she is feeling wonderful after such an ordeal. Her appearance is almost natural, except for a few marks on her face. Mrs. E. J. Davidson returned Saturday Sat-urday from Houston, Texas. She was accompanied by her grandson, Geo. Litter, who after a visit with relatives relativ-es here, will leave for a trip through California, returning to his home by the way of Denver. Mrs. Tom Martin and on Gaylord returned Tuesday afternoon from Salt Lake City, where they went to assist in careing for the English family, fam-ily, who were injured in the auto accident ac-cident last week. Mrs. English was a cousin of Mrs. Martin. She left j them doing as nicely as could be expected. ex-pected. Friday evening o flast week, the 7th grade gave a class party at the High Schoal building. The teachers were the invited guests. Games were played in the gym. A delicious luncheon lun-cheon was served at 0:30 p. m. in the sewing room. |
