Show CHOIR CLUB'S BIGBAZAAR The bazaar given by the ladies of the L. D. S. Choir club was an overwhelming over-whelming success. The decoration scheme was carried out in the green and white in a most artistic manner. Seven booths were arranged along the east side of the hall. The remainder remain-der of the hall was used as a dining room, where luncheon was served from 12 to 2:30 and supper from 5' to 6:30. The miscellaneous booth was filled with all kinds of useful articles and : was presided' over by Mrs. Harvey ; Hedges. j The children's booth came next.! with all kinds of clothing for chil-! dren. Mrs. Clark Kesler was in ' i charge. ! Then came the candy booth where ' the most delicious home-made candies can-dies were sold. Mrs. J. M. Kinney was the successful manager of this , booth. ! The fancy work booth was surely a wonder. It was a pleasure to see the beautiful and artistic work on display at this booth. Mrs. Ted Bird very ably managed the fancy work. ' We can't say enough in praise of the apron booth. Aprons of all kinds were to be purchased. Those who were unable to buy at this booth were surely disappointed. The president, presi-dent, Mrs. George Fernley, was managing man-aging lady of this successful booth. Mrs. Ed. Marksheffel made quite a hit as Gypsy Jane, in the fortune telling tel-ling booth. i If you want to know why the luncheon lun-cheon was so good and' served so well ask Mrs. Retta Tanner. She was the splendid manager of that depart-1 ment. j While the bazaar, during the day. j was a great success, we must also include thei dance and fun of the ev-! oning. The booths were cleared aw-' ay, giving more room for the dances. ( Balloons were added to the overhead ' decorations and wero lot toco n uecorauons anct were let loose on the heads of the dancers, causing a scramble and a lot of fun. X'oise. well yes, those crickets did make a noise whenever one in the hall did his best to keep them going. Everyone in the hill got his share of confetti. It was all fun from beginning to endl Gypsy Jane and her assistants entertained en-tertained the crowd for a few minutes min-utes w-ith a very graceful Spanish dance. Thanks to the lady members of the orchestra and Mr. Des Hickman, the evening was supplied with good mu-isc mu-isc and was a success to the time of closing. Everyone went, home satisfied with the pleasure they had' enjoyed. |
