Show Mrs. H. H. Maddren and children arrived here two weeks ago to visit her sister, Mrs. Wm. Cates and family. fami-ly. At the end of the first week Mrs. Maddern joined her husband at La Barge, Wyoming, and they made a trip through Jackson Hole country and Yellowstone Park, returning here last Saturday and left Sunday morning morn-ing for their home in Los Angeles, Cal. Mr. Maddren is general manager man-ager of the California Petroleum Co. Mr. and Mrs .Wm. Cates and family fami-ly entertained at dinner Sunday for Dr. and Mrs. Addison Bybee and children, and the doctor's mother, Mrs .Bybee of Los Angeles, and Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Maddren and children of California. Ray Goodwin, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Goodwin of Beaver, was operated on for appendicitis Friday of last week. He is getting along nicely. His mother who has been here with him, returned to her home Sunday evening. Mrs. John Williams returned last week from a trip to Provo, where she visited her mother, Mrs. Margaret Moore. She was accompanied home by her mother and neice, Miss Helen Craven. Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Hollis, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hollis and baby, Alma Hollis, and Stella Hollis, spent Sunday Sun-day at mines in Ranch canyon. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Weston spent several days last week at Roosevelt springs. Mr. and Mrs .Charles Hollis and baby, Mrs. Francis Hollis and Alma Harris spent Sunday August 7th, at Beaver with Mrs .Hollis' sister, Mrs. Jane Mumford. |
