Show MIXERSVILLE NEWS The Minersville public library just received 122 new books, which the county librarian, Miss Hottie Whorn-ham, Whorn-ham, ordered while she was in Salt Lake. The books prove Miss Whor-nham's Whor-nham's splendid ability for ordering books. Many of the people in Minersville have gone to Baker, Nevada, to take part in the movies. A large percentage of Minersville people attended conference in Beaver Bea-ver Saturday andi Sunday. The lady school teachers of Minersville, Min-ersville, have organized themselves into an "Entre Nous," club. Their purpose is both social and intellectual. intellec-tual. Many good times; are planned for the coming season. Good books will be read and discussed with the view of preparing themselves to meet the great oncoming problems of our country. Loyalty is. the watchword of this club, loyalty to all that is true honest andi just. The slogan is, "Ws Stand for Personal Advancement through the study of the best that has been given in Literature. On October 10 the club held its first meeting at the home of Miss Shepherd and Miss Condit. Sewing "and consideration of a name and the purpose of the club, took up two hours. A dainty luncheon was served by the hostess. Those belonging are Mrs. Baker, Miss White, Miss Hales, Miss Mathews, Math-ews, Miss Condit and Miss Shepherd The following teachers of the Minersville Min-ersville high school left Tuesday afternoon af-ternoon for Salt Lake, to attend the Teachers' Institute: F. D. Griffiths, Alvin H. Baker, Miss Condit and H. S. Alvoid. Funeral services were held for Mrs Camel- Monday, at 2 o'clock, at the meeting house. Bishop Eyre presided The choir sang: "Guide Me to Thee" prayer was offered by Ernest Eyr; the choir sang, "Sweet Rest"; Mrs. Gillins and Bishop Eyre were the speakers. They both spoke of the life andt character of "the deceased. The closing song was: "Resting Now From Care and Sorrow." Benediction was offered by Mr. Gillies. |
