Show REV. B. B. BESS Rev. B. B. Bessi is successor to Rev. Fred Clark in the pastorate ot Methodist Episcopal church of this city. He is a native of Missouri and is a product of "The Yale of the Southwest," namely Drury College of Springfield, Missouri. He is young sincere, and a possessor of plenty of vim. He is of six years ministerial minister-ial experience and has specialized in - J V social and spiritual leadership. Christ is anxious to save the world and Rev. Bess is eager to persuade folk to aid Him. Rev. Bess is of the new school, andi is broad and liberal in his ideas, but he is not too broad to be firm on the fundamentals of Christianity. He believes in an organized church because organization, system, and cooperation make for greater efficiency. effici-ency. The church is a channel through which Christians may 'effectively 'ef-fectively conserve socially recognized values. Better, larger and more lasting results are to be had through the church.- Rev. Bess advocates the sunshiny, refreshing life. Funereal expressions should be foreign to a Christian countenance. He believes that time is fleet-footed when people are busy, happy, or perfectly at ease and for this reason, even eternity won't seem long if we go to the right place. Rev. Bess comes to us to work with us. He is already one of us. May all Milford;, as well as he, enjoy en-joy this land of ideal climate and great hearts more abundantly during dur-ing the coming months. |
