Show CANN ED FOODS NOT TO BLAME. i When the late President Harding; was first taken ill somebody started! the report that his illness was the direct result of his trip. Naturally! this excited no little concern among people generally, and particularj among canners whose business is i always injured by rumors of this kind. The National Canners Association Associa-tion therefore, made direct inquiries as to what foundation existed for the reported effect of canned foods. . Statements denying that Mr. Harding's Hard-ing's primary illness was due to eating eat-ing canned foods have been obtained from Dr. C. E. Sawyer, the president's presi-dent's personal physician, from Dr. C. M. Cooper, consulting diagnostician diagnosti-cian and from Dr. Ray Lyman Wilbur, Wil-bur, Presidenti of the American Medical Med-ical Association and consulting physician phy-sician to President Harding. It is unfortunate that such a damaging dam-aging rumor was ever started, but the tmphatic denial of these physicians physi-cians should be enough to completely complete-ly off-set it. |
