Show NEWS NOTES OF BEAVER COUNTY IIIGHJCHOOL The basket ball game at the high school last Friday night was won by the school by 2S to 22. The defeated team was composed of members from the town. The lineup for the school team was: Smith. Carter, Kinney, Hollis,- White. The town was: Merrill Mer-rill Miller, Hickman, Des Hickman, Joe Smith, Kimmel Coon. The dance following the game was a huge success. The music was furnished fur-nished by Mrs. Duflin, Mr. Allred, Miss Stoker, Dalton Brooks and Owen Ow-en Stoker. With the proceeds a punching bag and ne. s for the gym were purchased. Do not miss the play of "Princess "Prin-cess Kiku' Friday night, given at the auditorium at S:00 o'clock by the H. S. girls, under the direction of Miss Hughes. Price 35c This is the first play of the season, and it will be well worth your time and money to come. The Eighth grade has elected new officers. They are: Lillian Stoker, president; Thorold White, vice president; pres-ident; Henry Reisner secretary and treasurer. The Seventh grade will entertain? at the H. S. gym next Saturday evening. ev-ening. They are participating a. good time. '. Assembly Thursday morning was held at 10:30. The following was the program: Song by Assembly. Talk Mr. Izatt, on the "Red Cross Fund and a High School Education." Recitation Harold Carlson Two selections from the quartet composed of Misses Lillian Tanneri Winnie Fernley; Messrs Walter Griffiths Grif-fiths and LaBon Bird. The B. C. H. S. has some very good musical talent, and more of these as- semblies should be given. There is to be a matinee of "Princess "Prin-cess Kiku." this afternoon at the H. S. auditorium. Lost A few of the students claim 'hat they ha.ve lost their books, brains and everything imaginable. If you find any brains please return re-turn to the high school. Will be received re-ceived with pleasure. Superintendent Day was a visitor at the schools this week. He insisls on better penmanship. Think we had all better take a few lessons. The Saxaphone trio is certainly a credit to the se-hool. It Is compoesed of Mr. Aired, Mrs. Duffin and Miss Lillian Stoker. We are looking forward for-ward to some selections from them in the near future. |
