Show FRISCO NOTES October 16, 1918. A farewell party was given by friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Ellison, Friday evening, for their son Arthur, who expects to leave this week for Salt Lake to enter en-ter the S. A. T. C. at the University of Utah. A large American flag was hung in the living room, the only decoration. dec-oration. Progressive whist, intermingled inter-mingled with singing and music, was the pastime. The gents' first prize, a small doll dressed as a Red Cross nurse, was won by Mr. Ellison, and the ladies', a small doll as a soldier boy, was won by Mrs. E. R. Smyth, the consolation prizes going to Mrs. J. L. Griffiths and her son Walter. Dainty refreshments were served. ( About forty people were present, and all had a very pleasant time. The following articles were forwarded for-warded to the Milford Chapter, A. R. C, from tlie Frisco branch, on Sept. 28: 1 sweater, 10 pairs of sox: Oct. 12: 10 pairs of sox, for the linen shower: 1 pair hand towels, 13 pairs bath towels, 5 handkerchiefs; Oct. 15: 1 pair hand towels, 8 bath towels, tow-els, 20 handkerchiefs; making a total to-tal for the week of 23 towels and 25 handkerchiefs for the shower. |
