Show BIG COUNTY CELEBRATION Beaver is to have a rousing old fashioned Fourth of July Celebration Celebra-tion at Beaver. Milford, Minersville and all other oth-er parts of the county are to join in making this the big celebration of the year. This is the verdict of a meeting which was hastily called and met in the office of Jorgensen and Cline this afternoon at two-thirty. Mayor May-or Cottrell acted as chairman. The meeting was addressed by R. H. Strickland, Stri-ckland, chairman of the committee upon which he was appointed by the mayor of Beaver, for the purpose of laying the suggestion before the Milford Mil-ford people and without a dessent-ing dessent-ing vote, the meeting agreed to cooperate co-operate in making it a decided success. suc-cess. The following committee was appointed ap-pointed to represent Milford and to help with the general arrangements. Mrs. P. J. Adams. Chairman J. R. Pearson E. B. Jorgensen. J. S. Hanks, and another lady to be appointed later. This committee will meet at Minersville Min-ersville with the committee from that place and the Beaver committee where more complete arrangements will be made. The celebration will include the unveiling of a tablet containing the names of all who entered the ser-'vice ser-'vice from Beaver county. Miss Angie Harmon, Misses Thel-ma Thel-ma and Irene Tanner and Stan Tanner Tan-ner motored to Newhouse Sunday They were accompanied by Mrs. Tanner who went on to Wah Wah Springs. E. A. Thornhill and Ed. A. McKay passed through here Friday on their way from the 'Nunn ranch in Deep Springs. Cal., on their way to Provo. and was in business with Mr. DeWolf Mrs. Naomi Frick who has been visiting vis-iting her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Nate Gillins for some time, left Monday morning for her home in Spokane, Washington. She was accompanied home for a visit by her mother. Steve Garzan who was arrested by Sheriff Fotheringham last week on a charge of stealing an auto from State Engineer McGonagle. was up before Judge Nichols last Friday and plead guilty to petty larceny and was let off with a fine of $25 and costs. County Attorney Parsons appeared for the State. ! J. R. Pearson. Vic Carlson and W. W. Crone went fishing Sunday in Clear Creek near Cove Fort Sunday.: They returned that evening and the three families had a fish supper at the Pearson home. i C. TT.
