Show HIGH SCHOOL CARNIVAL January 30th This day should have been marked as a red letter day on your calendar; if it is not listed as such, by all means be not content until the trror has been corrected, at least in your memory. On this date the Big High School Carnival is to be held, which will provide unlimited amusement from 7:30 p. m. to 12:30 a. m. The Board of Control of the High School student body recently appoi' ed a committee of five to outline and promote a series of activities for the school and community, and thus put the institution in a better position to function as a social center. This com mittee as appointed, consists of Miss Vorrath, Chairman; Fred Cottrell, Ctima Bond, Miss Worley and Nell Ferguson. Things commenced to be done immediately, and one of the 1st big things to be promoted is the Carnival Car-nival for the 30th of this month. Each class in the school is working work-ing vigorously to successfully "put over" the task that has assumed responsibility re-sponsibility for; while students and townspeople alike are looking ahead with anticipation for the fun of the evening. Following are the business houses that so far have contributed articles to be raffled off at the Carnival: O. F. Hubbell, Milford Pharmacy, Mil ford Pool Hall, Kit-Kat, Jefferson Merc. Co., Dobson Clothing Store. : Others will no doubt also respond in helping to make the event a gala day for a certainty. A league basket ball game with Fillmore High School and dancing will be features of the evening. A detaiie'd program for the evening will appear in next week's issue of the Beaver County News. |
