Show GOVERNOR THREATENS EDITOR Promises to Use Shotgun Unless Attacks Cease. Tallnhasse, Fla. In an open letter given out Friday the Rev. Sidney J. Catts, governor of Florida, threatened to go to West Palm Beach, Fla., with a "double-barreled shotgun loaded with buckshot" and have a "final settlement" settle-ment" with Joe L. Earman. president of the state board of health and publisher pub-lisher of the Palm Beach Post. The chief executive wrote that he was tired of Earman's "tyranny, arrogance arro-gance and big-stick bossing" and that "this Is the last warning." The letter followed publication in Earman's paper of nn article attacking attack-ing the governor in connection with reinstatement of Edgar Thompson as state's attorney at West Palm Beach. |
