Land Ollice, Suit Lake City, Utah October 21; 1919 To John Reed, of unknown address Contestee: You are hereby notified that Bertha Ber-tha Steward, who gives 201 Ness Building, Salt Lake City, Utah as her postoffice address, did on May 23, 1919, file in this office her duly corroborated cor-roborated application to contest and secure the cancellation of your Home stead Entry No. 1995471, Serial No. 019844, made May 12th, 1917, for SW 1-4 of SW 1-4 of Section 11, Township 29 South, Range 11 West, Salt Lake Meridian, and as grounds for her contest, she alleges that jolin Reed has failed to establish residence resi-dence on said land within six months mon-ths from date of entry or at all ana has failed to build a house or improve im-prove it in any way and has totally abandoned same during the past rwel ve months last past. Said failure to establish residence and abandonment abandon-ment is not due to any Military, Naval or Marine service of the United Unit-ed States. You are, therefore, further notified noti-fied that the said allegations will be taken as confessed, and your said entry will be canceled without further right to be heard, either De-fore De-fore this office or on appeal, if you fail to file in this office within twenty twen-ty days after the FOURTH publication publica-tion of this notice, as shown below, your answer, under, oath, specifically specifical-ly responding to these allegations or contest, together with due proof that you have served a copy of your answer ans-wer on the said contestant either in person or by registered mail.
