The latter had been held in Ely by roads that had been blocked for days while the railroad which comes to Ely from the north had also been blocked f or a time. Returning to Milford on Wednesday Wednes-day they managed to get through late that night but only after a harrowing experience of shoveling snow and bucking drifts with frequent fre-quent soirees out into the great open places. Small stores in Garrison and Baker are running low on supplies, having been without effective trucking facilities for siome two weeks now but it is hoped soon now to have the roads open. o |
