Show L00KING BACKWARD Items of Interest from the Files of The News of Fifteen Years Ago This Week. Annual election of officers was held at the luncheon meeting of the Milford Lions Club yesterday. Elected were: Milton H. Pool, president; O. H. . Hubbell, vice president; Clifford Cook, second vice president; O. C. Koch, lion tamer; Dr. Charles R. Parrish, tail twister; Harold Cline, secretary-treasurer; .Bert Wynaught, (retiring president), George Jefferson Jeffer-son and J. R. Murdock, executive committee. Following adjournment, a special meeting of the swimming pool committee com-mittee was called and it was decided de-cided that a swimming carnival would be held at the pool on August 5. Cash prizes will be awarded winners of the various events, which include swimming races, diving exhibitions, tub races, creased spar races, tandem races, 100-yard four-man relay, and a number of other contests. Lions in charge of arrangements for the carnival are Dr. Charles R. Parrish, George Jefferson, O. F. Hubbell, Sam and Harold Cline, Bert Wynaught, Clifford Cook, Milton Mil-ton Pool and O. C. Koch. Mrs. Grant Thorton and children, Norma and. Clark, of Salt Lake City, are visiting ith her parents, Mr; and Mrs. H. C. Eyre of Miners- ville. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Griffiths and baby of Beaver spent Sunday in Minersville. Mrs. J. R. Murdock Jr. and baby spent last week in Salt Lake City visiting with Mrs. Murdock's mother, moth-er, Mrs. A. Evans. H. W. Morris and S. Whitaker have returned to Milford to work on the railroad. Mrs. Ardith Outzen entertained the Old Friends club Monday evening. eve-ning. Members present were Mrs. J. P. James, Mrs. Fred Levi, Mrs. Antone Johnson, Mrs. William Carlson, Mrs. N. C. Schow and Mrs. Scott Tanner.
