Show Company Tells Of New Billing Plan A new and improved method of issuing telephone bills will be introduced in-troduced in Milford in the near future, according to an announcement announce-ment made this week by Helen H.Carlson, H.-Carlson, manager of The Mountain Moun-tain States Telephone and Telegraph Tele-graph company here. Under the present practice of issuing bills, all statements for the territory served by the Mountain Moun-tain States company are issued on the first of each month. A distribution distri-bution of billing will now be made so that bills will be issued throughout the month in six equal groups. Each subscriber will receive re-ceive but one bill a month after the new plan is effective, but mailing will be made on a different differ-ent date than formerly. There will be no change in the regular August 1 bill but the next statement received by subscribers will introduce the new arrangement. arrange-ment. "The adoption of the plan, known as rotation billing, will enable en-able us to provide better service to our customers," Miss Carlson explained. ex-plained. For example, under the present practice, with all bills issued on' the 1st of the month, charges for long distance calls are included only up to the 21st of the preceding preced-ing month. The new plan will permit per-mit the inclusion of all charges and credits up to the date of the bill. The appearance of the bill itself will also be improved. The change to the new plan in Milford will be made September 16 and in the future all local telephone tele-phone bills will be dated the 16th of each month. No bill will be issued is-sued September 1 but the September Septem-ber .16 bill will bring all charges up to date. Each bill thereafter will cover normal charges for a month's local service and a month's long distance charges. After the new plan is established, establish-ed, actual mailing of bills will be made from two to six business days after the billing date.
