Show THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT Christmas season has been largely commercialized, especially throughout this nation of ours, where often the true religious meaning of the season is submerged beneath the commercialism. P'undamentally, Christmas is a time of religious observance, obser-vance, of honoring and being reborn in the principles of Jesus Christ and His teachings. It is a time of remembering that the principles of peace and of humanity are not pnly taught but are a part of Christianity. If the teachings of Christ were observed by the world as a whole there would be no such wars as this we are now in. People would live gentler and more noble lives, with the realization of individual worth, of forgiving the shortcomings shortcom-ings of their brethren, of aiding those that err and working for the good of people as a whole. This Christmas finds the world torn with conflict, and the prayers of millions of mothers that God will guide their sons safely through the war to their return. Too many of us turn toward religion only at the time of need. If we would be a part of it and practice its principles we would lead a fuller life, to the betterment of the world as a whole.
