Show Horses From Seven States Will Race At Milford's First County Fair Meet; Home-Coming Activities September 6 Preceded in the morning by a giant parade, Milford's new fair grounds and standard half-mile race track will be formally opened to the public on Thursday, September Septem-ber 7, continuing until Saturday midnig'ht, with all three' days packed full with thrilling entertainment enter-tainment and interesting exhibitions exhibi-tions of Beaver county products and resources. Twenty-four fast horse races, varying in length from the quarter-mile tO' the featured Milford handicap of one' mile and 70 yards, are to be run for purses aggregating aggregat-ing $1515.00 and there will be plenty of music and entertainment between races. Brilliant open-air performances of the Treasure Island Is-land Follies are scheduled for the early evening each day, to be followed fol-lowed by big dances in the huge new gymnasium of the Milford high school. As a fitting preliminary to Mil-j Mil-j ford's first county fair, the afternoon after-noon and evening of Wednesday, , September 6, will be devoted to I Milford's first Home-Coming and i hundreds of former residents of western Beaver county will be present for the occasion, which I will be featured by a 1000-pound I beef barbecue, program and dancing danc-ing to last as long as the home-comers. home-comers. The pit for the barbecue is being be-ing prepared under the hill east of the elementary school building and the crowd will be served on the high school lawn, close thereto.
