Show Sharpen Food Chopper ! To sharpen a food chopper when the knives become black and dull, run a piece of sand soap, or scouring scour-ing brick, through the chopper as you would a potato. It brightens and sharpens the knives so they cut like new. Use pulverized sand soap or scouring brick, or small ends left from the cake of scouring soap. Wash well in boiling water afterward to remove all grit. Oil the chopper I or egg beater with a little glycerine; this is a lubricant which does not taate in food. |
