Show WPA Projects In State and County Form Large Total According to a report received by Allen T. Sanford, state director, ' Nation Emergency Council for Utah, there have been 648 W P A projects in Utah from the begin-; begin-; ning of the program to June 30, 1937, on which there was expended a total of $7,459,059 of which $5,-i $5,-i 756.895 was paid by W P A funds i and $1,702,164 was paid by spon-j spon-j sors' funds, the projects being i classified as follows: 197 highway, road and street i projects, costing $2,000,120, of which $1,565,191 was paid by W P A funds and $434,929 was j paid by sponsors' funds. , 119 public building projects, 'costing $1,487,105 of which $1,059,-j $1,059,-j 2S5 was paid from W P A fund? and $427,S20 paid by sponsors' i funds. 96 public utilities projects, at a cost of $897,571. cf which $608,218 was paid by W P A funds and . $289,353 was paid by sponsors' I iends. : 117 other construction projects, , costing $1,539,272 of which $1,144,-I $1,144,-I 333 was paid by W P A funds and i $394,939 was paid by sponsors' I funds. , 117 all other projects, costing ; $1,534,991 of which $1,379,868 was paid by W PA funds and $155,123 was paid by sponsors' funds.
