They had been chaperoned by Mrs. Walter James. ' A baby boy had been born to Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Arrington, on February 2. A farewell social had been given in the L. D. S. church for Bishop Matheson, who was leaving leav-ing to reside in Parowan. Those tuk;ng part on the program had beta H. H. Pitchlorth, Bishop Bird, Miss Ethel Day, Mrs. James Tanner, Miss Rogers, Miss Stoker, Jur.nita Miller, Winnie Fernley an.l C. A. Arrington. j Irs. Adams of Salt Lake had been visiting with her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Fern Galnouer, and family, and her son, George Harris, Har-ris, and family. Karl Carlton had gone to Salt Leke to attend the biennial "chicken feed'', a big banquet given by the Utah State Press as- :- ociation. j j An M. I. A. character ball had 'teen ; . iven and Mrs. George Moore as an In.lian and Paul Ludwig as a cannibal had won the prizes. j I Invitation had been sent out for a birthday party to be given at the home of Mrs. A. C. Nebeker for their little dau;. liter Ann. Mr. and Mrs. William Cline had( left to make their home in Beaver, j where Mr. Cline was to go into the mercantile business. J One of the most enjoyable affairs af-fairs of the season had been a birthday party given at the W. F. Cottrell home for their daughter Delia's 21st birthday. Those present pre-sent had been the Misses Mary Roper, Hortense Hardy, Mildred Eyre, Delia Cottrell, Ethel Mowers; Mow-ers; Mesdames Roy Cottrell, Joe Tribole, George Rogers, W. F. Cottrell, H. M. Richards, and Messrs. Clyde Casterline, Ray Casterline, F. A. Stuart, C. W. Stuart, George Rogers, W. F. Cottrell, Cot-trell, Roy Cottrell, Joe Tribole, R. H". Snyder and A. H. Terry. E. L. Griffiths and Ephraim Smith had been to Frisco tearing down the social hall, which was brought here to build a home for the Griffiths. The Ptimos club had given a shower for Mrs. George Moore at the home of Miss Ardath Johnson, with 25 members present. |
