Show I School I'totes ! I ' i SECOND GRADE Our Fair We had a fair for the mothers and fathers. Miss Robinson and Mr. Whitt-wer Whitt-wer came too. Many mothers came. We made cake, cookies and candy, We made punch too. We served the friends. We sang songs and did dance? and had plays. We read our posters too. We had a very nice time. THIRD GRADE We wrote to Mr. Perkins, he is coming up to judge our airplanes. air-planes. Max Singleton. We are going to have a party in our room on Saturday. I got a present for Raymond aind we have a Christmas tree all decorated. decorat-ed. Gordon Bently. The third grade sent for three pictures. We sent to the Ryan Aeronautical company at San Diego. Our pitures are four by five inches and are of the Ryan S-T plane. I wish you all a Merry Christmas. Anna Mae Grimshaw. We get out of school for Christmas Christ-mas on Saturday. We get eleven days for vacation. I will be happy when Christmas comes. I wonder what I will get, don't you? Von Limb. FOURTH GRADE We made Christmas cards for our fathers and mothers. I colored color-ed an elephant and some of the people colored dogs. They are very pretty. We hope our mothers and fathers will like them. I wish you all a Happy New Year. Dorothy Weber. We are going to have a Christmas Christ-mas party. We are going to have peanuts and candy. We drew names and brought presents for the name we drew. We had a lot of fun. Our room made presents for our mothers and fathers. Junior Kirk. Betty and Bobby's Christmas Once there was a little boy and girl whose names were Bobby and Betty. They were very poor. Betty wanted to earn some money for Christmas. She went from place to place trying to find a job. Finally she came to a house where a woman stood in the door. When K she saw how Betty needed work she said, "If you will sweep the walk I will give you half a dollar and then come tomorrow and I will give you something' else to do." Betty was so happy she didn't know what to do. Bobby had earned half a dollar too. The next day they both sot out but soon left each other. This time Betty earned seventy-five cents and Bobby earned fifty cents. About a week later they each had three dollars. They went down town and bought presents for their father and mother. When Christmas came the children jumped out of bed and ran down stairs. They were so surprised to see that they had so many presents. Their mother and father were happy too. Bobby got a pair of gloves, shoes and stockings. stock-ings. He had candy and nuts, a coloring book and ci'ayons. Betty got stockings, shoes, gloves, a doll and andy and nuts.
