Show Mrs. Joe Hanlon left Tuesday for a few days visit in Salt Lake. Mrs. Kenneth A. Smith entertained enter-tained 18 little kiddies Sunday, December 12, in honor of the third birthday of her son Edward. Mrs. Frank White entertained he? sewing club ?t her hom Saturday afternoon. Those present were Mrs. Roy White jr., Mrs. Merrill Edwards, Mrs. Ross Palmer, Palm-er, Mrs. Russell Furguson, Mrs. Warren Atkins and Mrs. Lavar Voorhees. i 1 ! Mas. Frank Osborn underwent ' a major operation at the Milford . hospital last Friday morning. At last report Mrs. Osborn was doing i-.icely. ! Mrs. S. G. Hickman and children left Wednesday for Beaver, where they will join Mr. Hickman and there make their home. i Karl Murdock, who had been visiting in Milford several days, left last week for Cleveland, Ohio, where he was to enter a school of electric welding for a short time. Mr. and Mrs. George Jefferson left Sunday for a visit in Salt Lake. Mr. Jefferson returned home Wednesday Wed-nesday while Mrs. Jefferson co-'tinue co-'tinue her stay in the city a while longer. Mrs. E. J. Smith of Franklin, Idaho, visited over Saturday ana Sunday at the home of her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. E. L. Smith. While here she enjoyed the musical given by the pupils of Mrs. E. L. Smith. The store building in the rear of Eh-. R. R. Shannon's office and facing on Fourth avenue, is being completely remodeled by the Mc-Garry Mc-Garry interests who own the building, build-ing, for use as an electrical repair and display shop to be opened up in a few. days by C. L. Firmage and D. N. Hickman. Mrs. Grover Cuddy wa3 hostess Wednesday night to the Big Foui bridge club with Mrs. George Moore winning house prize. Those present were Mesdames J. C. Jef-fers, Jef-fers, Ray Malstrom, Robert Price, George Moore, Lloyd Lee, Wilson Moore and B. F. Hutchins. Mrs. Harold Cline entertained a number of women at bridge at her home Wednesday evening. Mrs. J. R. Murdock jr. and Mrs. Walter Josephs received the high score prizes and Mrs. Vic Carlson the consolation prize. Others present were Mesdames Sam Cline, George iFernley, Ray Mills, B. T. Walker, j Clarenee Grimshaw, Lloyd Kohler, j Val Yepsen, E. L. Smith and Fred ' Jefferson. ' Junior pupils of Mrs. E. L. Smith were presented in a piano recital Saturday fcvetnJng in the L. D. S. church. Parents of the children and a large number ot interested friends were delighted with the performance and with the remarkable advancement these students have made in so short a period of study. Taking part in the program were Richard and Tommy Jefferson, Sherman Ryan, Joey Murdock, Rae Bond, Madelyn Kohler, Joan and Lucille Smith, Mary and Ann Marie Outzen, Sue Price, Jean Norman, Douglas . Ryan, Beverly Weston and Shirlej Jones. Mrs. Lamar Outzen assisted assist-ed with readings. The entertainment entertain-ment reflected much credit on Mrs. Smith as instructor. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Moore and children, Margaret and Douglas, were in Cedar City Thursday, yisiting Mrs. Moore's sister, Mrs. J. C. Root, who is in the hospital there. |
