Os'oorn, special officer, of-ficer, had brought into Milford a couple of female vagrants from over near Frisco. Complaints had been made that they had been pilferir. from houses near there. While riding after cattle near Lund, Jess Cook had narrowly escaped es-caped death when his horse was killed by lightning. John Stahl had been struck by lightning and his horse was killed while he was riding it. Miss Maxine Bardsley had entertained enter-tained at bridge for Miss Bessie Killam, Charles M'cCully and Jack Bardsley. Miss Bardsley and the tw0 gentlemen were students of the University of California. Announcement had been made that the Beaver county fair and rodeo would be held at Beaver on September 16, 17 and 18, with Milford Mil-ford being represented upon the executive committee by C. G. Has' kell and Henry Bowman. Mildred Killam, Dessie Gray, Ann Nebeker and Lola Morris had spent a three day outing trip in Minersville canyon. Mrs. Edith Farnow, Erma Gillies, Gil-lies, Gertrude Lessing, Sam Cline, Harold Cline and Clarence Grim-shaw Grim-shaw had spent a week-end at Puffer's lake. The J. R. Murdock home was the scene of a pleasant card party July 13, when Miss Dorothy Murdock Mur-dock and Miss Phyllis Levi entertained enter-tained a number of their friends. Michigan was the game of the evening. Those present were Margaret Mar-garet Williams, Bessie Killam, Dessie Gray, Mildred Killam, Ann Nebeker, Lola Morris, Olive Johnson, John-son, Hannora Hutchins, Jayne Slcan, Betty Murdock, Dorothy Levi, Elma Hickman, Vema Bird and Mrs. T. W. Campbell. Sam Cline was agreeably surprised sur-prised on Friday, July 13 at a chicken supper, the occasion being Mr. Cline's birthday. Those present pre-sent were Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Par-rish, Par-rish, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Murdock, Mr. and Mrs. George Fernley, Mr. and Mrs. Al Cline, Mr. and Mrs. George Jefferson, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kinney, Mrs. Erma Gillies, Harold Cline and Sam Cline. |
