Show Career Ends For F. B. Robinson, Noted Engineer A long and brilliant career which had been closely identified with major railroad and irrigation projects pro-jects of the west came to a .sudden doso Tuesday with the death of Frank Browne Robinson, 72, for the last several years local manager mana-ger for the Duluth IjiihI and Investment In-vestment company, with his headquarters head-quarters and residence at the company com-pany bungalow just below the Rocky Ford dam in Minersville canyon. The body is being held at the local estabishment of the Southern Sou-thern Utah mortuary, with the probability that funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, after which it will be shipped to Salt Ijike for cremation, in accordance accord-ance with wishe of the family. Mr. Robinson was born October 1, 1S64, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Henry E. and Emma Browne Robinson. He was a graduate gradu-ate of Mount St. Mary's college and had studied engineering at Cornell university. He was a member mem-ber of Sigma Beta Phi, honorary engineering society. Hu was closely associated with the Harriman and Goujd railroad interest.'! at times, occupying the position of location engineer in the construction of the Oregon Short Line railroad, one of the best paying pay-ing railroads in America. His interest in-terest turning to irrigaton, he became be-came affiliated with the Kuhn interests in .several irrigation projects. pro-jects. Because of failing health he recently resigned from his position with the Duluth project but continued con-tinued to reside near the reservoir. Surviving Mr. Robinson are his wife, Mrs. L. Maye Hughes Franke Robinson, and two step-daughters, Miss Kendall Franke, who made her home with the family while deeply interested in Red Cross work, and Miss Lucile Franke, a supervisor in the Salt Lake junior high school system; also the fol-owing fol-owing brothers and sisters: Piatt and Ray H. Robinson, Mrs. Daisy-Robinson Daisy-Robinson Vaughn and Mrs. Grace Robinson Gennett, Richmond, Indiana. |
