Show Taxpayers Will Vote June 28 On School Bond Issue Currently appearing as a legal notice in The News is a call for a 'special school bond election which is to be held Monday, June 28 in various polling places throughout the county and the verdict of that election will say whether or not the Milford, Beaver and Miners- ville school plants are to have certain cer-tain improvements and additions which they must have within a year or two but which now may be had with the federal government paying approximately half of the bill, providing the vote June 2S is favorable. The proposed bond issue is for $55,000, payable within 20 years and to be negotiated at not to exceed ex-ceed 5 interest. With 45,000 to be furnished by the government as an outright grant or gift, there will be available $100,000 to be expended ex-pended under the able direction of the Beaver county board of educa-tn, educa-tn, one of the most capable and business-trained boards in the state. As stated in the notice contemplated contem-plated improvements include the construction of a shop building and auditorium and remodeling of the grade school at Milford, construction construc-tion of a shop building and an addition ad-dition to the grade school at Beaver, Bea-ver, and remodeling the grade and high schools at Minersville. Any registered voter who paid a tax for the year 1936, on either real estate or personal property, will be permitted to vote. |
