Show Talisman Ships Quantity Of Ore W. W. Crone, T. S. Pierce and T. O. Pierce, who have been quietly at work on a lease of the' Cedar Talisman property west of Milford, this week sent to the smelter a two-ton shipment of silver-lead ore recovered from the dumps of this mine. Decision to j ship came about from some very ' good returns they received on some smaller shipments made last spring, and, if the present larger ' shipment brings the returns expected ex-pected it is probable that a force of 15 to 20 men will be employed to get the remaining larger tonnage ton-nage worked over for shipment. The last work done on this property pro-perty was of a development nature na-ture and in limestone throughout, creating a heavy overburden of. limestone which must be removed before getting at the shipable ore, according to T. S. Pierce. Another case of miserable vandalism van-dalism at this property, similar to others in this district, is disclosed, according to Mr. Pierce, in the almost al-most complete stripping of ma-j ma-j chinery and equipment from this i and other mines of the Talisman group since the preliminary visit of these gentlemen last spring, this condition serving to hinder to some extent the development of the property. o |
