Show Early Tourist Camps The idea of tourist camps probably prob-ably had its inception in the caravansary car-avansary which was a structure for the accommodation of travelers travel-ers in eastern countries. Cooking quarters were provided and storage stor-age space for the property and merchandise of the traveler. The caravansaries were located on important routes and were built by rulers or wealthy individuals individ-uals as public benefactions or else were a municipal enterprise. They remained open from dawn until night and had caretakers. Small, I unfurnished sleeping rooms were provided and a space for the I beasts of burden. I |
