Show Wellknown Jockey Dies Avery Rogerson, 19, for many years a resident of Parowan and well known in Milford and throughout the west as a jockey, was fatally injured Wednesday of last week at Payson. He had been employed as trainer by Dr. L. D. Stewart of Payson, who also is well known for his race horses. The accident occurred when the horse Rogerson was riding evidently became frightened as he used the whip and bolted into the outside fence at the track. He is survived by his father and stepmother, step-mother, a brother and two sisters, all of Fillmore, and another brother, bro-ther, Harold, also well known as a jockey, who is in the army. |
