Grimshaw, one -of- Milford's most popular and highly ' respective citizens. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Jeffers had (rone to Des Moines, Iowa, where they were to spend three weeks with Mr. Jeffers' parents and relatives. j Mrs. Irvin Campbell has enter-' tained . at a bridge luncheon with ; Mrs. LaMar Outzen, Mrs. "William ! Cochrane, Mrs. Antone Johnson, i Mrs. William Fernley, Mrs. F. R. J Levi, Mrs. Ralph Quayle, Mrs. M. H. Pool, Mrs. Maurice Johnson, Mrs. Ross Smith, Mrs. "Foster Dewey and Mrs. Joe Smith being present. Mrs. A. L. Webb had invited a few young people to a surprise party, the occasion being the l&th birthday of her son Lawrence. Those present were Miss Estelle Nebeker, Miss Hannora Hutching, Miss. Elma Hickman, Miss Verna Bird, Miss Dorothy Murdock, Miss Phyllis Levi, Dern Osborn, John Affleck, Jack Turley, Clark Kes-ler, Kes-ler, Willis Whitbeek and Wallis Moore. The Pierian club had met at the home of Mrs. D. A. Baxter with Mrs. E. Bardsley acting as hostess. host-ess. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows: Mrs. Lula Clay, president; Mrs. Vena WHlson, first vice president; Mrs. Walter Weber, second vice president; presi-dent; Mrs. Roy White sr., secretary. secre-tary. ' Three baby girls had been born during the week to South Milford people. They were Mr. and Mrs. Bert Ryssman, Dr. and Mrs. Addison Addi-son Bybee and Mr. and Mrs. Williams. Wil-liams. Mrs. G. C. Cuddy had entertain-' ed in honor of Mrs. Frank Calloway Callo-way who was leaving '' for Salt Lake City. The guests were fhe G'. I. A. ladies. A pleasant time was spent playing "500" and during dur-ing the evening Mrs. Cuddy gave a very interesting report of the G. L A. convention held in Cleveland,' Cleve-land,' Ohio, from which she had recently returned. Those present were Mrs. William Stirling, Mrs. Charles Sportsman, Mrs. George Ranson, Mrs. John ' Hanlon, Mrs. John Killam; Mrs. Lindsey Wad-dingham, Wad-dingham, Mrs. Jay Jeffers, Mrs. Otto Steenbock, Mrs. Charles Husbands, Mrs. Foster Dewey and the guest of honor. |
