Show Fall of Woman Results In Death Mrs. Martha M. Williams, 90, oldest Beaver woman, also the old-' old-' est pioneer of Beaver county, and mother of Mrs. LaVern Patterson of Milford, passed away at her home in Beaver Saturday from injuries, suffered when she fell Wednesday, breaking her shoulder blade. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Beaver, with a large number of Milford relatives rela-tives and friends in attendance. Mrs. Martha Williams was born September 24, 1854, in Varcey, on the Patterson river in Australia, a daughter of William and Mary Easibeott Moyes. Her parents were converted to the L. D. S. church and emigrated to America in 1-856 on the ship Jennie Ford. After seven weeks on the water they went to San Bernardino, California, Cali-fornia, where they remained one year before coming to Beaver. She was married to Nephi Wil liams, an emigrant from Wales, May 4, 1876, in the St. George L. D. S. temple. Mr. Williams died February 15, 1924. She is survived by three daughters, daugh-ters, in addition to Mrs. Patterson: Mrs. Mary Goodwin, Mrs. Luella Thompson and Mrs. Hattie Goodwin, Good-win, all of Beaver; 27 grandchildren grandchil-dren and five great-great-grandchildren. She has four grandsons and two great-grandsons in the armed services. |
