Show Big Plans Made For 'Days of '49" Friday, May 15 from noon until un-til the wee sma' hours of Saturday morning is the time and Milford is the place for another whooping big "Days of '49" celebration such as the town has become famous for. While complete details of the affair wil be announced in due time by means of handbills, the copy lor which is being prepared, there is every indication of the 1930 show being one of the best in a long list of big successes. There will be sports of various kinds during the afternoon but it will be with the coming of evening that the colorful celebration will really take shape with a promise of "everything that goes to make a real old 49'er celebration." One of the most successful features fea-tures of the "Days of '49" celebration celebra-tion of a year ago was the cabaret . and floor show conducted by the Legion Auxiliary in the former Milford Confectionery building and this will be repeated this year on a more elaborate scale. Under the name of Cafe El Toro and with Spanish decorations and atmosphere atmos-phere throughout, the Auxiliary will be prepared to serve meals and sandwiches all day long with entertainment of various kinds throughout the day and fore part of the evening. Reservations Reserva-tions must be made, however, for the period after midnight, at which time the Cafe El Toro will take on all the aspects of the modern cabaret, caba-ret, with floor show and all. Needless to say, the biggest dance of the year will be given at the Arion that night with special spe-cial music and other features to add to the general enjoyment. n |
