Show SOUraMlLFORD ; Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Griffith ' announces the marriage of their 1 daughter Alice to Jack Miller on 1 August 24 at Beaver. Members ' of the immediate family accom- 1 panied them to Beaver. We extend them all good wishes. Mr. and Mrs. Jake Weber en-' en-' joyed a brief holiday this week in Delta, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Elmer accompanying them there. Miss Virginia Rollinns, a 1940 M. H. S. graduate, has work in Beaver and will make her home there. Mr. and Mrs. Stuck are nicely located in their new home, recently recent-ly purchased from Bill Bond. Miss Martha Ferris of Beaver is visiting Miss Alta Limb this week. About 40 young people surprised sur-prised Gene White on his birthday, birth-day, taking him to Hodges barn, where lights, seats, etc., and been provided. Games, dancing and eats occupied the time, all declaring declar-ing "old timers barn dances could not equal this". Miss Glenna Rollins is spending a few days at Tooele, visiting her sister, Mrs. Marion Walker, and Jamily. The James Rollins and William Baker families attended the fun- eral Sunday in Beaver of Mrs. Harold Bohn, wife of a nephew. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Elmer were in Beaver Monday on business. Mrs. Leonard Bowen and seven of the Nimble Thimbler girls enjoyed en-joyed the 4-H county meeting held at Ponderosa park in Beaver canyon Friday. There were two groups from Minersville and Beaver Bea-ver also was well represented. About 60 people were present. Softball and treasure hunts were indulged in until time for the camp fire ceremonial. There was a short program and our girls gave four numbers. President Palmer, noted authority on Indian lore, told many interesting things about the various tribes and some of their peculiar legends. This was truly a fitting climax to the girls' work this summer. |
